Not sure what else to say...

We've been having a few classes here and there...I've been skipping them to edit my thesis film. I went to a great class today about how producers think when it comes to movies...and how some are snobbish...etc etc, it was a great class.

Tomorrow night is REVENGE OF THE SITH!! Fuck christmas I can't wait.

Well graduate films are now officially over!!!

Thank the heavens, alot of ups and downs during graduate weeks (7 weeks exactly - no classes just shooting films), the last film was about vietnamese (sp?) soldiers who take over a house to use for stragety, and as one of the soldiers stay at the place he falls in love with a woman who lives was fun to be on, I was the AC for it...good times.

Tomorrow I'm back to classes now and editing and then in 3 weeks it's all over... :(

Alrighty roo...

My extras that played slaves (aka , my parents) wen't home this morning. It was cool that they had a chance to come down and play. I convinced my mom to get me a Mac Mini, sweeeeeeeeet!! I can finally edit at home on FCP, I'm gonna get the mac mini with 1.4ghz (which I was told equals up to about 2.4ghz for PC), 80gig Harddrive (I have an external 160gig, so I'll be fine), with the Superdrive to burn DVDs etc etc, it came up to be about $1,200. I'm gonna go get that PSP soon also, after I sell alot of my videogames...

At this moment I'm in the post-production of Tidewater Bandits, I'm about to get crackin on the feature script for it, I'm also in pre-production for a horror film that I'm doing down home in Washington State! Very film friendly. I got this sweet 4 story church to film in...and a rented out theatre.

I watched Sin City three times already, that's right. THREE MOTHER FUCKIN TIMES. Crazy shit, I love that movie though (obviously), I'm gonna watch it a 4th time with some people tomorrow.

Don't have much to say, I don't go back to New York Film Academy until about May, lol...when we shoot our thesis film we don't go to school, everyone gets a whole week to do it. Ohhhh yea!

Courage & Stupidity ( is a pretty clever short film about Steven Spielberg and how he almost lost the directing job he had on Jaws. Pretty funny at times, I ended up buying it.

I'm all about Sin City though, there are a few shorts in the graphic novels that I want to shoot, I'm gonna be reading them today to see if it's possible (lookin for something with maybe one room that I can shoot in a day...), should be fuuunnnn....

Tidewater Bandits - Day 5: Final shoot day...

Cool cool. I watched Sin City at the 12am showing, got home around 330pm and fell asleep around 4:50, woke up at 6am and was ready to meet my crew at 7am. We went over some of the shots we wanted to get out of the way.

It feels good to have my film all done now, but I want another day to shoot the last scene, and more coverage for inside and a little more inside. I'll see if I can get that done...I doubt it though...shit.

Good times overall, should be fun to edit.

Tidewater Bandits - Day 4: 2nd Shoot Day...

Another great day. I love that Canon XL2+Mini 35 p+s teknick.

Once again, everyone was on point. I did alot of coverage and we did a excellent scene of the slave master getting whipped by the slave, funny stuff. My parents came in today, they're gonna be my slaves extras for tomorrows exteriors of the field. O Brother style look I got, I love DP is fan fuckin tastic...

Tomorrow is a HUGE day, Crew call time is 7am-7pm, cast is 10am-6pm. I'm about to watch Sin City at 12am -- get home about 3am...prob fall asleep at 320am and wake up at 6am...crazy shit huh? Tomorrow is my last day though can't wait. :)

Tidewater Bandits - Day 3: 1st Shoot Day...

Today went excellent, it was probably the best damn day I have ever had directing a film, seriously. Everyone was on point, the actors, crew etc etc. I wanted to get all the interiors done, but we got about 90% of it, which is great, we can get them all done tomorrow morning. Good times.

I'm not stressed anymore. I can't wait to shoot tomorrow, I know it's gonna be a blast.

And I saw the footage...looked fuckin excellent, me and the crew watched the dailies with some food, I was more then impressed...Canon XL2 + Mini 35 looks brilliant.

Tidewater Bandits - Day 2: Stressin the hell out...

I'm stressed...I'm *SUPPOSE* to shoot tomorrow. I went to my location today cause supposedly I had a meeting with the owner of the location to look at set dressing props, but NOO ofcourse he wasn't there...some other dude was there. So this dude let me look at the props, and they're cool and whatnot, and I asked him if I could put them in my farm house location..."you gotta talk to derrick" he said -- Derrick wouldn't fuckin be back at the place until god damn 6pm, its 3pm. So I left and got some sepia tone paper to print out my wanted signs, my replica weapons came in. I got other shit, like generator etc etc. So I called Derrik at 6pm and he says he doesn't know who the fuck I am, nor does he know who the fuck Denny , my producer is. This is pissing me the hell off. He tells me to call him tomorrow at god damn 10am, I tell him I'm supposedly shooting...he doesn't know shit about it.

So I called my producer, told him to call Derrick right now and straighten it out, since he talked to Denny the whole time during my pre-production. This was 30 minutes ago, Denny hasn't called me back yet - I'm getting suspicious that Denny hasn't done shit the whole time, and I'm pissed. I don't know what the fuck to do right now...

Update: Okay, everything is fine. My producer talked to Derrik who was in a meeting and didn't have my papers around him. So I'm meeting my crew at 830 to do some set dressing for the...set! ;) , and to get the regular shit knocked out, lighting etc etc...taking out the equipment from the van is tough enough. Oh well...I finally did my shot list/setup list while watchin O Brother Where Art Thou? (in my top 10 know), and realized that I might...MIGHT.......MIGHT (and possibly) get all my interiors done in one day...I mean, holy shit...if I do (and I'll report tomorrow), I'll be the happiest god damn film maker you have ever met. Trust me. Then I can use another day for the exteriors. But so much shit goes wrong during filming so I'm holding my breath on that one.

Gotta go to sleep now, watchin Jay Leno, set alarm for 6:45am. I'm gettin the nerves in my system...hands are shaking...I needa pray, heh.
